PGM Billing, a leading integrated practice management, medical billing management, and revenue cycle management service provider, announces it is now accepting applications for its second annual scholarship program.

PGM will provide two $1,500 scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year.

The first scholarship is open to undergraduate students pursuing a career in computer science with a demonstrated interest in the healthcare industry. The second scholarship is open to graduate students entering medical school or those who are currently enrolled in a medical school program.

Earlier this year, PGM awarded scholarships to Karina Barajas of Montebello, Calif., who is attending California State University, Los Angeles, and Megan Thacker of Omaha, Neb., who is attending medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC).

“We received a tremendous response to the launch of our scholarship program, with applications from impressive students from across the country,” says Chris Saviano, VP of Business Development for PGM Billing. “We were pleased to award our first scholarships to Karina and Megan — two very talented individuals — and are excited for the second year of our program. The PGM scholarships will help pay the tuition of passionate people working toward a career in the industry we have served for more than 35 years.”

He continues, “PGM is a firm believer in the importance and value of healthcare and medical education. We look forward to selecting and supporting two more worthy students in their pursuit of academic excellence.”
