Albert Saviano – Chairman of the Board of Directors
Albert Saviano is our Chief Executive Officer, President and Controller. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration and M.B.A from Iona College. Mr. Saviano founded Physicians’ Group Management in 1981. Prior to starting PGM, Mr. Saviano served as the CFO and Controller for hospitals in both New Jersey and New York. In addition, he was formerly the Director of NJ Medical School Faculty Practice Program and a Director at the NJ Hospital Association. Mr. Saviano has over 40 years of financial experience in the Medical Field.
John D. Bowlin – Director
John Bowlin has over 30 years of managerial and operational experience in the Consumer Products and Electronic Equipment industries. Most recently, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of SABMiller PLC from 2002 to 2003. Prior to SAB Miller, he held several senior executive positions at Phillip Morris Companies, Inc., including Chief Executive Officer of Miller Brewing Company from 1999 to 2002, President and Chief Executive Officer of Kraft Foods International from 1996 to 1999 and as Kraft North America’s President and Chief Operating Officer from 1994 to 1996, and President of Oscar Meyer Food Corporation from 1991 to 1993. In addition to his role at PGM, Mr. Bowlin currently serves as a board member at a number of privately-held companies including Executive Advisor at CCMP Capital Advisors, LLC., Non-Executive Chairman of Pliant Corporation and Spectrum Brands and a Director of Generac Power Systems and Quiznos Subs. Mr. Bowlin holds a BSBA degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia University.
Robert E. LaBlanc – Director
Bob LaBlanc is President of Robert E. LaBlanc Associates, Inc., information technologies consulting and investment banking firm. Previously, he was Vice Chairman of Continental Telecom, Inc., a diversified telecommunications company. He was also a General Partner at Salomon Solomon Brothers, where he founded the Telecommunications Team and was voted leading Wall Street telecommunications industry analyst from 1973-1978. Mr. La Blanc is a Director of Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd., Computer Associates International, Inc., FiberNet Telecom Group, Inc., Storage Technology Corp., Titan Corp., and over ninety Prudential Mutual Funds. He is Chairman of the Advisory Board of Edelson Technology Partners and a Director of Norwood Venture Corp. Mr. LaBlanc holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Manhattan College and an MBA from New York University, and is a graduate of an extensive technical training program at the Bell Telephone Laboratories. He is a four term Trustee and former Vice-Chair of Manhattan College, which awarded him a Doctorate of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa, in 1997.
Edward S. Johnson, MD – Director
Dr. Edward S. Johnson is the Dean of the Saint Vincent Trinity School of Medicine. He is a Board Certified Internist and Infectious Disease Physician who is Director of Infection Control and a Consultant in Infectious Diseases at the Clara Maass Medical Center and Wound Care Center in Belleville, New Jersey. His major affiliations and appointments have included the Program Director of the Infectious Disease Fellowship Program at St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark, New Jersey until 2000 and Professor of Medicine at Seton Hall School of Graduate Medical Education. He was the Dean of Kingstown Medical College, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, a major affiliate of Saint George’s University, Grenada, West Indies from 1996 until February 2008. His appointments at St. George’s included that of Professor of Microbiology, Course Director of Pathophysiology, and the Director of University Health Services in Grenada and Saint Vincent from 1998 until February 2008.
Chris Saviano – Director
Chris is a director at PGM and has more than 12 years experience in Corporate Finance and Business Development. Prior to joining PGM, Chris was a member of the Corporate Finance Departments of Lehman Brothers and Societe General Investment Banks in London, where he focused on Debt and Equity Capital Markets transactions in the Healthcare Sector across Europe and the Americas. Chris earned his MBA (with Honors) from Bocconi University in Milan Italy, with concentrations in Strategic Management and Finance.
